Micro-electronics and booth babes – what a circus

I liked the greeters in frames 5 and 6 the best, both professionally dressed in traditional Chinese attire and a welcome sight. I like them.

Give the Corsair girls in frame 20 eye patches and cutlasses ….

Has there ever been a Comptex event where the booth babes were dressed in conservative business outfits and actually knowledgeable in the products they are trying to persuade you to purchase ?

Good thing Toms Hardware is not popular radical feminists. You would never hear the end of it.

Wait, you guys took 52 pictures of girls? Not that I blame you but where's the 52 pictures of AMD's Bulldozer/Llano? Intel's Sandy Bridge? ATI's Southern Islands?

Meh, they are wearing the qiapo, or Manchurian-Chinese dress. If they were wearing the traditional Han dress, they would wearing what is known as the hanfu. Qiapos only looks good on petite or curvy women - anyone else looks horrible in them (especially the male versions). I prefer the hanfu since it looks good on virtually everyone.

Q: How many militant feminists does it take to screw in a light bulb?
A: One, and that's NOT FUNNY!

Man, some folks got hit pretty hard with the grumpy stick today. However, some of the discussion of Asian women as commodities is goofy and immature, at best.

Still, it's refreshing to see arguments in the THG forums that's not about ATI vs Nvidia.

If Tom's Hardware wonders why they don't have more technical females reading their articles - this is the reason. It is one thing to photograph the women "working" the booths as part of the background, and another thing entirely to have the article be all about "the babes". Frankly, I expected more professionalism from this site. So I'll come back when you boys have grown up.

To quote a cliche: Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. So which one is your favorite dear readers? Let us know in the comments below.

From pictures it's very hard to choose so I need to meet them personally 😛

"You'd be smiling like that too if you were in his shoes, you know."

Especially with a giant arrow pointing towards the goods.

Day 1: Booth baby pics.... ok fine, girls come first. But where the hell are our Day 2, 3, and 4 coverage of Computex? You know, like pics and info on the latest computer tech?
