I just got a new PC a couple weeks ago with:

Ryzen 3800x with stock cooler
B550 motherboard
1 NVME, 1 SSD and 1 HDD
2x16 GB Ram
and Straight Power 11 750w Platinum PSU

Currently running an old GTX 1050 Ti on it cause I couldn't buy a 3070s
Finally I may have a chance to buy any of the 3000 series GPUs, I am not sure exactly when so I wanna be sure I don't make a mistake. The be quiet calculator doesn't even suggest me a 750w psu for a stock 3080 much less a Strix. Some people say 750w is enough and some people say it's not enough. Also apparently on some site discussing the 3080 strix they said the manufacturers said 750w is recommended but that the strix can use up to 400 or 450w on its own, forgot exactly how much they said. So here's why I posted the rest of my rig. Should I get a 3070s, a 3080 or a 3080 strix? I don't care about price, I wanna get the strongest GPU my PC can support. Since I'm also gonna be rendering on it the usage is gonna go up to 100% pretty frequently and for longer periods of time possibly.

All right I read into that and thanks, it seems I might be good in terms of power at least for non strix.

https://www.amazon.com/quiet-Straight-Platinum-BN642-Modular/dp/B085ZBT81N this should be my PSU so apparently March 16, 2020. Although I don't know if it has the connectors for the strix in the box, I have no idea what I'm looking for.

So according to the link you added if a 3090 is suggested to be used on a 750w psu, then a 3080 strix would have no issues on a 750w unless I overclock, yeah? I don't plan to overclock anytime soon considering Blender is crashing when rendering with an OC.
