My laptop screen has been acting weird lately. I have a 2560x1440 165Hz panel. I was playing GoW when horizontal lines suddenly appeared. I immediately reset the drivers using AMD cleanup utility and manually uninstalled and reinstalled NVIDIA drivers, but nothing helped.
On 165Hz, the lines are there constantly from the top of the screen to about 2 inches from the bottom of the screen. On 60Hz, the screen is completely fine for some seconds, but then twitching starts. In safe mode, same issue but the lines are constant. Even in BIOS, the lines appear after some time with twitching.
There was no spillage, no physical damage, no pressure whatsoever. I cannot figure out what went wrong.

Use DDU instead.

Make and model of your laptop and it's SKU?

Do the lines show up on an external panel, if the laptop's panel is what is exhibiting the lines?

@Lutfij I'll try using DDU. The laptop is an Acer Nitro 5, AN515-45-R4GR.

I connected it to a TV using HDMI, and that's working fine. It has to be the laptop panel, but if there was any damage on the panel itself, shouldn't the lines be constant everywhere? When I switch to 60Hz everything is fine for some seconds, but twitching starts. Could it be a cable issue?
