Hey guys n' girls, building my first gaming-intended PC this week and need verification on something. The Cooler master 932 and 922, such little price difference yet just outside my budget. I just need to know if the parts I intend on getting (especially the graphics card) will fit in the 922 case nicely and if it will provide sufficient airflow:

****UPDATE****
Intel Core i5 750 CPU Bundle:
Core I5 750 CPU
+ Gigabyte GA-P55-UD3 Intel P55 LGA1156 Motherboard
+ G.SKILL Ripjaw F3-12800CL9D-4GBRL 4GB (2GBx2) DDR3-1600 Memory
+ Shipping = $744
Cooler Master 922 HAF case - $225 (picking it up locally)
Cooler Master eXtreme Power Plus 650W PSU - $137 incl shipping
Sapphire Radeon HD5870 - $720 (picking it up locally)
Western Digital Caviar Blue 640GB 16MB 7200rpm SATA hard drive - $105
Total: $1931

What do people think?

Any other suggestions or problems with compatibility between the parts please speak up! this is my first ever build and remember it's 90% for gaming and 10% for HD movies. Thanks Peeps :pt1cable:

Corsair 650TX power supply, EVGA P55 LE motherboard, core i7 860, promlitech megahalem cooler, OCZ Platinum DDR3 1600 4GB, OCZ Summit 30 GB SSD, 2x Seagate 7200.10 500 GB in RAID 0.

I just upgraded my system today since the old motherboard had too many issues with new hardware. I'm still in the process of getting a temporary OS on there. The Promlitech megahalem was a bit unexpected on my part, the local computer store just happened to have one in stock so I jumped at it, they're nearly impossible to find online right now.

Very nice dude!! very nice indeed. Yea i've heard - although of course I didn't know what it was at the time and still hardly know - they're quite rare. especially over here. Lol i'm having trouble with the graphics cards over here trying to find out what makes the HIS and XFX models of both the 5850 and the 5870 over $100 more than the Sapphire and Microstar ones lol :S

Promlitech is a very new company, so new that the megahalem is their only product right now. It has tested very well at all the major overclocking websites which is why there's a shortage of them now.

As for the pricing, I'm not sure what's so special bout the HIS, but the XFX ones come with a double lifetime warranty, so you, and who ever you give/sell your card to are still covered. Not sure why else they would price it so high, over here they were priced at average for 5870s.

I think I'll stick with the Sapphire version of the 5870. I should get myself an anti-static wrist strap also shouldn't I? before touching any part of my Computer and/or building it.

They aren't completely necessary, but it's a good practice. When I just did my motherboard swap, I didn't use anything special and used the carpeted floor as my work space. As long as you discharge any static before you start your build by doing something like touching the power supply casing while its plugged in and off, that's usually enough.

Here is where you can get the ASUS mobo
http://www.pp.co.nz/products.php?pp_id=AA17621

Which incidentally is the one I've just ordered. One nice thing about it is that the 2nd PCIe slot actually works at full speed unlike most others.

You may also find the prices at www.pp.co.nz a little less :)

Not only that, but the 3rd PCI e slot will work as a PCi e 4x for that ASUS PRO board. I was very tempted to buy that one myself, but the EVGA was $20 cheaper after rebate, and had a few other nice extra features.

Go for the XFX one, sapphire is terrible. again at pp.co.nz they are pretty cheap, and actually the same price as the sapphire.

I just ordered the same case as you and XFX HD 5870 as well :) almost the same chip too. Very glad to see the video card fits in the case no worries.

yeah, the HAF 922 overall is the best case I've worked with. My only minor complaint is the 3.5" drive sled design isn't the greatest, but that's about it. As for aftermarket coolers, I don't think they come much bigger than the Megahalems, and it manages to fit that as well.

Have you overclocked your 860? is that why you have the extra nice cooling kit? Is that hard to do with the i7-800s? I've never tried overclocking before - always been to scared of blowing my cpu up! :)

I just got windows 7 up and running so I'm still making sure all drivers are good and everything works at stock speed. I tried Crysis out, and got on average 50 fps on High settings, 4x AA 1980x1020 resolution, all at stock speed. I may try to overclock at some point just to see what it'll do, but I don't want to turn my computer into a power hungry monster.. electricity bills are bad enough as is :)
