[SOLVED] Coolermaster gts v8 1150 backplate

I have the coolermaster gts v8 on my i7 4790k but i needed to change motherboard and i had my pc disassembled for a month or so and now that my new MoBo arrived i realised i lost the backplate of my cooler and i contacted coolermaster for help but they told me they were out of this accessory. Does anyone know if i can find somewhere one backplate compatible that i can screw my cooler on? Thanks in advance any helpnis appreciated.

Most backplates serve the same purpose - providing mouting holes pretty much flush with the PCB.
Variation could be in threading though, which could get interesting. You could likely 'force' it, to make it work.... I don't know about the long term ramifications there though...

Do you have a local computer repair/assembly store? Chances are, they'll have a bin of brackets somewhere. Most coolers that shipped have both AMD and Intel brackets - so for every AMD system they build, they probably had an Intel bracket left over.

I'd probably ask the question locally first.

Thank you for your answer, I'm actually working in a local repairing store and we dont have any for this socket. Im worried about the compatibility thats why i asked here if anyone had experimented like that before to assure me that its gonna work before i spend even nore money and end up with a still dead system. 😢
