Hello

I have installed a Coolermaster Hyper 48 CPU cooler on my LGA775 motherboard. This was maybe three years ago. Since I bought a new CPU cooler, I want to transfer the Hyper 48 to another motherboard, which is Socket478. Since it was so long ago since I installed it, I can't find the mounting kit for the 478.

Is there anyone that have a spare mounting kit for Soxket478???

It's not worth the trouble to even move that cooler over. Most socket 478 boards can't overclock. Those that can, avg. only about 200-400mhz OC. Stock cooling can handle it fine. Best cooling solution is to use new thermal paste on that socket 478. I'm pretty sure the old stuff is dried up.

If you need cooler for socket 478, you can find some for around $15.

Well, maybe I posted the topic in wrong group, because I don't intend to overclock my 478 MB.

I just felt that instead of throwing it away, and buy a new one, it would be great to use it again, since I'm very pleased with the Hyper 48.

So if anyone has som spare part for the Coolermaster Hyper 48, please contact me.
