In January of this year I built my new PC. My old pc was having constant frame drops as well, in every game, where the frame rate would drop to 0, or near 0, and the same image would be displayed for a split second to up to a couple seconds. When I build my new PC, I replaced everything other than the storage (my 1tb samsung SSD and 1tb hard drive). The frame drops still consistently happen. This makes me wonder if this is caused by my storage. This seems like a problem that wouldn't be caused by this, but at this point I don't know what else could be causing it. Is it possible that my storage situation could be the cause of the frame drops?
Specs:
MSI rx 5700 xt
Ryzen 3600
16gb ddr4 ram at 3200 mhz
msi b450 gaming plus motherboard
Corsair psu, I forget the wattage, I think 500. This problem was still happening when I still used my old 750 watt psu with these same components though.
