I'm building a new pc and when I went to go power it on. the CPU light on "EZ DEBUG" is on, meaning something is wrong? I got the cpu power plugged in correctly and everything else turns on but its just a black screen?
That boards requires bios version 7B07vG3 or newer to work with that CPU. Was the box label 3000 series ready? Good chance you are using an older bios version. With an older bios version the system won't post and give a red cpu light on ez debug.
Where your motherboard doesn't support usb bios flash back your only option would be take it to a shop and have them update it, buy a cheap supported cpu and use it to update the bios or contact AMD and get a bootkit(loaner cpu). https://www.amd.com/en/support/kb/faq/pa-100
I'm gonna do the boot kit option, but how do I actually update the bios? Say the rootkit arrives and I'm able to power it on. Then what? will it have instructions or will I be stuck trying to figure it out?
