Question CPU FAN vs CPU OPT

hey, i was having an issue with my 9700K and 212Evo, in small tasks the temps of 9700k is around 50-55C, i checked the bios and the cpu fan is mistakenly connected to cpu opt... maybe that's the reason i get those temps? Any ideas?

FYI. I know the temps are ok, I am just an obsessed freak ♥

Probably not, but to check it, power off and connect the cooler to CPU_Fan.
Another option would be buying a better cooler.

You can try changing it and see if it makes a difference, but it shouldnt. CPU_FAN and CPU_OPT should operate at the same speeds.

i checked it, nothing it's time to retire the trusty 212 Evo....

in full load Aida the cpu temps are good 70-75C the problem is in idle or when browsing the web 50-55C the profile is set to normal not silent... idk what's wrong maybe the case fans? (i have some 6-year-old case fans from corsair 200R) pfff...

Could be airflow, ambient temps, thermal paste, etc, but those temps dont seem too far from normal.
Im sitting in a 60F room and Im browsing around 40C with a better cooler.

my room is around 22C-24C... i will get a noctua nh d15s, and replace my 2 case fans, hope it's gonna work and get much better temps...

You might not see a massive change in idle temps, but your load temps should certainly improve.

40C is my goal but even with 45 I will be more than happy. also the fan noise... omg that cheap noise is driving me crazy
