Hi! for the last 14 months or so I've been having a problem where my CPU is constantly at 90C when gaming. The main issue being that my PC automatically shuts down because of the high temp.

  • I've tried replacing the thermal paste once but it didn't help unfortunately.
  • I've changed the fans to an NZXT Kraken 240 AIO.

I would greatly appreciate your thoughts on the situation and any help you could give. Thank you!

dont know how i could see the exact temp
There is a device called "thermometer" that can be used to measure temperature. You put the device in the room where you want to measure the temperature, and after 10 to 15 minutes you can read from the device what temperature you have in the room.
These devices can be bought, relatively cheaply , in food stores, pharmacies and bigger department stores.

It will not shut down at 90c just possibly throttle down by hew hundred MHz so it must be hitting much higher temps even for a second which makes your problem even worse.
Other problem than just cooling could be voltages so undervolting would be next step to try. Start by using Curve Optimizer in BIOS.
