Question CPU not clearing boot after shut down

I've noted that after I shut down my pc by:

1. selecting shut down on windows menu
2. computer shutting down after extended inactivity
3. single-press power on front IO

my CPU will then fail to clear boot upon powering up the PC. However, if I hold down my front IO power button to force a shut down and then reboot, the CPU clears its boot stage and everything works fine. Thoughts on this?

full system spec? include brand and model of the psu
was it working before?

Disable windows fast boot/fast startup. New windows OS default to turning it on, and it basically means that your normal shutdown button works like "extreme sleep mode" 😡
Disabling it should mean that you power button actually turns it off and clears ram on shutdown.

I'll give this a try and see if it works over the next day or so!
