As of now, my PC consists of the following components:
  • CPU: Intel Core i5-4570s
  • GPU: RX 580 8GB
  • RAM: 2x8GB DDR3
  • SSD: 500GB
  • HDD: 1TB
  • PSU: 620W
  • MOBO: Gigabyte H86M-S
While my PC has served me well over the years and still it's not that bad, I have started to notice some performance limitations, especially when running the latest and most demanding games. My FPS occasionally drops, and the overall performance doesn't feel as smooth as I'd like it to be. I believe that my CPU, the Intel Core i5-4570s, is the main culprit behind these issues in modern games.

Before making the final decision, I wanted to seek your valuable opinion on the matter. Considering my existing components, do you think something like i7-6700 would be a suitable upgrade from my current i5-4570s? Since I don't want to buy latest i7 for example into this current RIG, I need something that will fit perfectly into my current PC configuration without bottlenecks as much as possible.

Thanks in advance.

The i7-6700 is not compatible with your current motherboard.

Most likely, you would need a new motherboard, new CPU, and new RAM to see a significant improvement over the i5-4570.

You could likely use an i7-4790K on your motherboard, but I'm not sure you would call that "suitable". How much improvement would you expect?

The Passmark benchmark difference between the 2 is about 20 percent.

Yes you are totally right about this. My bad, I forgot my mobo supports only 1150 socket.
In my country this i7 4790k used cpu is ~80-100$.

And yes I am aware it wouldn't be that much of an upgrade.
