Question Crucial SSD Running at 70mb/s ??

I have a G7 7590 15 Laptop, I've "upgraded" to a Crucial ( CT1000P3PSSD8 ) 1tb after my Samsung 970 evo suddenly died. SSD bough on Amazon.
I was downloading games on steam and noticed write speed was only 60-70 mb/s, so after pulling up Control Panel I saw the same thing and 97% disc usage.

SO...any ideas whether its the motherboard M.2 the bottle neck or I got a <Mod Edit> poor SSD..or im missing something.

Steam generally reports in megaBytes/sec.


But what you may get from Steam has little or nothing to do with the drives actual performance.

Test the drive with CrystalDiskMark.
