Crysis vs Crysis Warhead vs Crysis 2 (PC)

Well, I'm still not terribly happy with the ToD settings. I guess my preferences are just a lot more natural.

I decided to load up the BatteryPark level (one of my least favorite ToDs in the game) and edit it myself to show what I mean.

First, here's Crytek's ToD. Hyped saturation and darkening, and an awful yellow cloud surrounding everything (in the real world, morning fog is not yellow, it's more white than anything).

Here, I've modified the fog color, saturation, sun color, and a few other color filter settings to make it look, IMO, a lot more natural.

I guess in order to get the ToD I want I'm just going to have to make it myself. But at least Crytek makes that possible. 😉

Oh, forgot to tell you when you posted this - no pics show up. Still enjoying the Tactical Mod, btw. Crysis 2 and 3 need one. I've resorted to playing Crysis 2 on the Veteran difficulty with the aiming reticule off, no nanosuit mods active, and no silencers.

Playing Crysis 3 for the first time tonight with my buddy - I rented it to play on his X360. Not going to get my hopes up too much - all the Youtube videos of that version look like a muddy mess, but I wanted to give it a go. Because I am NOT paying more than $20 when I do buy that game.

Also, had to share:

Doh. I'm not sure why.....I re-copied the URL's into the edit and they appear to be coming up just fine(?)

I'm also a big fan of the higher difficulty. I always play with no crosshairs and difficulty at max. If I don't have to duck for cover when the bullets start flying, it isn't hard enough (STALKER kind of spoiled me in that regard). 😉

There's a new Blackfire TOD mod for Crysis 1 if anyone's interested, and it looks like the newest version of Blackfire 2 for Crysis 2 will be out any minute!

Crysis vs Crysis Warhead vs Crysis 2

The poll choices are in regards to which of these games is best overall.

I believe the original Crysis is best overall, but barely. I feel it has better graphics than Warhead and Crysis 2.

I believe Crysis Warhead has the best gameplay, but comes in second due to less impressive visuals and the fact it's too short.

I believe Crysis 2, even with the DX11/high-res texture pack, is a visual dissapointment. If it was called something other than Crysis, I would say it's a beautiful and excellent game. But when viewed in the magnificent light of the first two games, it falls short.

I would like to hear your opinion.

I noticed however I think sombody else revived it.

I think crysis 3 has the best graphics however crysis 1 is great for 2007.

I did very recently beat Crysis 1 again, after buying the 750Ti. I couldn't run the game well enough with a 450. It's still a really beautiful game.

I did very recently beat Crysis 1 again, after buying the 750Ti. I couldn't run the game well enough with a 450. It's still a really beautiful game.

Crysis 1 is nice, I remember playing it with a 7800 gs.

Only today can I max it out @ 1440p & 8x Msaa while getting 60 fps + with a Titan x

8 years later a 1000 dollar single gpu & a I 7 can max out the game and and aa.

What do you think of ryse?

LOL, yeah. The game runs well now though, on most modern systems. But who'd have thought it'd have taken this long to make that possible..

I never played Ryse. I heard it's really short and repetitive. The gameplay is boring too, I think. Only plus point is the graphics.
Other than that, the game is pretty mediocre.

The game worked on my 2011 Macbook pro.

I want to try ryse, my friend bear it and really like it....

Witcher 3 is amazing. Just amazing.

Ryse is good but short and can be repetitive, but the graphics are amazing and the story is good too. Runs at 50fps on High @1080p on my GTX 960.

I still haven't beaten Crysis 2. I thought it was okay but bored me a little bit. I remember there was a mod that made it look much better though. To me, Witcher 2 with ubersampling enabled was the best looking game ever.

Lol to me Crysis/Crysis warhead is coming from alternate dimension from Crysis 2 world. But it is funny what they did with the story though. they introduce Alcatraz so new player doesn't feel alienated with the story too much and just borrow Prophet for a very short time (and kill him instantly) just to make connection with the original Crysis. Probably they never thought that the back lash from the original fan was too big. So they kill Alcatraz in C3 by resurfing Prophet from the nano suit and even bringing back Physco just to please the fan hahaha. 😛

I really hope that C2 and C3 just the alternate world of Crysis or simply Nomad bad dream lol :lol:

I suggest you try the Witcher 3 because it looks much better than 2.
