Question Currently looking on a opinion for a mobo and cpu combo 2nd hand

Hello im currently watching a cpu and mobo combo for around $80. The cpu is intel core i3 10100f and the mobo is the Gigabyte H410M S2H V3. Im looking forward for your guys and girls opinion on it. I personally think its a good deal but i want to hear somebody that has a little more knowledge than me.

The F at the end of modern intel CPUs means it lacks integrated graphics so you will need a separate graphics card.

Looks like online the i3 is almost 80 by itself, if you are strapped for cash, grab it, but as puff said, you will need a gpu. That said, I'd imagine pair it with a 2060 or a 6600, it would be a decent budget gaming box.

You'll average 10-20fps more with a 10100F over a i7-4790k if that's any indication of performance uplift 6 Generations later. Basically it's equitable to a i7-6700k/i7-7700k.

So it's not a bad deal if playing simpler titles with minimal-medium cpu detail settings, but even at 1080p if you think to crank ultra settings default you'll run into fps issues with more intensive titles that have high degrees of Ai, physX, ambient and occlusive lighting etc.
