DDR2 compatable with DDR3?

I just got some new ram and am thinking of giving him my old ram, here it is (240pin ddr3 - 1333 ram): http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820227375

He currently has this ram: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820145043

Can he use the ram I am wanting to give him and if so will he see much of a performance increase?

No. DDR2 and DDR3 are physically and electronically incompatible.

Confirming that the "key" slots are in different positions on DDR2 and DDR3 so they cannot be interchanged.
