Will a 6750 fsb 1333 mhz WORK with a rev 1.0 GA-965P-DS3? I ordered a GA-965P-DS3 from newegg and I am not sure which version. I do not have another lga 775 cpu so I cannot flash the bios to upgrade without a cpu. So my question is, and I've seen way too much speculation already: Is the GA-965P-DS3, in rev 1, "officially" supporting only 1066 fsb, compatible or at least bootable to the bios with a 6750 fsb 1333 mhz?

looks like no

Hey GeOMan, I have the F12 BIOS installed. Gigabyte says no native 1333fsb support for ver 1.0 and I couldn't get the E6850 to boot either. No matter what multiplier or fsb I used, it just wouldn't boot. The BIOS doesn't show the 9 multiplier with the E6400 installed so I couldn't set 9x333.

Actually, you can't say that yet, read the detail: and I couldn't get the E6850 to boot either. I don't see the 6750, and I don't know if he is referencing the 6400 or the 6750 when he talks about it not being able to boot.

He tried to run an e6400 at x9 multi w/ a 333 FSB, which would make it effectively running like a e6850, but he couldn't, b/c you can't unlock the multiplier on non extreme editions. Point is, he couldn't even get the e6850 to boot with it's x9 multi and the 266 FSB. Therefore, his mobo won't boot up procs designed for a 333 FSB, so it won't boot the e6850. You're not going to find a mobo that will boot the e6750 just fine but won't boot the e6850, and vice versa.
