Delete from network drive?

How can I delete something from a network drive and have it go to my recycle
bin on my desktop? Right now, I just cut and paste whatever I want to delete
onto my desktop and put it in the recycle bin that way, but there's got to be
an easier way of doing it..........Thanks!!

When you delete something from a network drive, it's deleted. It does not
appear in ANY Recycle Bin on ANY PC.

It's just 'gone'. End of story.

Moral of the tale: Be careful what you delete off a network drive!

You could create a batch file to run in DOS emulation that copies the file
from the network drive then deletes the network copy of the file and then
deletes the local copy of the file. Wouldn't be point and click, you would
have to type in the original path and file name but it would work.

The real question is, why do you want to store files in your recycle bin?
This is not a good practice to start. Older recycle bin files will be
overwritten if you continue to delete files and you fill the recycle bin.
Better is to create a folder on your local drive and copy the file there.
When it is no longer needed, then delete it.
