deleting folders

While in the 'My pictures' folder, Using the thumbnail view, I deleted some
folders with pic's in them. but the screen shows lots of gaps- Meaning that
when I deleted the folders, the other folders their did not rearrange
themselves to fit in between the ones gone. I have 2 pc and the other one
does it automatically. I must have unchecked something once and dont
remember what. Can you tell me how to re-check this so that folders 'fill in
the gaps if something is deleted automatically? thanks

Hi,

Put a chek next to view > arrange icons by > auto arrange.

View menu - Arrange Icons - Auto Arrange.
