Dell Bios - Possible to 'unlock'?

The bios in my Dell XPS1000 wont allow me to change
CPU frequencey etc. Is it possible to unlock these settings
or get a bios from amibios that will allow me to change settings?

Do you know what motherboard your Dell computer uses?

I think its a Intel mb,but I will have to check further
to find out which model.
