Question dell checkpoint (0019)

im trying to fix up a pc for a friend when i came across a problem where at first there was no display what so ever so i removed the graphics card (gtx 760) then after a few restarts i got into the bios and because this pc came in without a hdd i tried my personal one which i could not get to boot or even get into the bios and i have no idea what is going on

full system spec? include make and model of the psu

its a i5 2000 series cpu
graphics card was a 760 gtx
ram is generic ddr3 8gb 1 stick
the psu is an xfx pro750w
the motherboard is a dell, i cannot find any id or number to tell you exactly what it is

does the motherboard have video output?
if so, take the gpu out, and test with the igpu

i did and it sometimes booted to bios and other times there was no video output at all
