[SOLVED] Dell Latitude E5440 sounds like it’s going to turn on then turns off?

I recently swapped out the motherboard on the Dell Latitude E5440 and every time I turn it on the lights turn on and the power button lights up. The fan also starts spinning loudly for a few seconds but then the whole thing shuts back down. I have also held the power button without any power plugged into it to remove any static electricity build up and that still didn’t do anything. What could be the issue?

Sounds like the motherboard is bad. Of course with you replacing it may also mean you did not plug something in correctly, but the fan and light issue is usually from a dead motherboard.
