I installed a different hdd into this unit because I did not get it with one (hdd) so now i dont have the recovery part. and to boot the dvd (cd-rom) will not read I need the entire software for the unit factory i will provide the firmware

I think you're going to need a Windows XP disk - not the Dell one - and then you'll have to input the Service Tag reference from the label into Dell's website to find all the drivers. OEM computers with out hard disks are a bit of a risky purchase.
