I am having a problem with my dell xps 9570. Recently, I accidently downgraded my dell xps 9570 to a very older version bios from 2018. The current bios version is 2022. After a successful downgrade, my dell xps won't turn on. When I press the power button, the keyboard lights up, the charging indicator light lights up, and then both of them goes away. This happens everytime I press power button.

I want to ask If my motherboard is dead ? The repair man whom I have taken my laptop to repair, told me that the bios chip is Okay and he also programmed the bios with a newer version. He also set the jumper but my laptop won't turn on.

Is there anything I can do to get my laptop in working condition or I will have to replace my motherboard?

so he unsoldered the BIOS chip? or was he able to get into the bios and flash it with the laptop?

how exactly and why did you flash the BIOS to an old one? which jumper was set?
No, he just flashed the bios with programming. I don't know much about jumper. I accidently downloaded the wrong bios and downgraded it. This was the mistake I made.

ok, since I don't know if you disable quick boot, you need to clear that cache as well as the bios cache.

disconnect all usb devices, and power, and remove or disconnect the battery.

Then press and hold down the power button for 20 seconds. Then release, put it back together and it should boot.

This is what Dell calls "hardware reset".

Can you tell me If the keyboard is lighting up as well the charging light, that means my motherboard is still alive?

Its an error. Usually associated with VRAM. Some systems you disconnect the plug, then hold down ctrl+esc while plugging it in to enter BioS recovery. Then you clear NRAM, then disable it, then go recover the bios
