I'm looking for a good P45 board, and the reviews I've seen so far have been little help to me. I know DFI makes a good motherboard, and the price on this particular board makes it more tempting. But the specs say it's limited to ddr2 800, while most P45 boards are 1066/1200. Is this really a big deal? There certainly are a lot more options in the 800 speed, and the latency is a little better. Does anyone have a good, educated opinion on this?

Not sure why they say it only supports DDR2 533/800. Their processor specs say that it supports 1333/1066/800MHz FSB and I am sure I have seen on forums that this DFI board has these straps in the BIOS. Its probably due to the fact that DDR2-800 was the highest official frequency for DDR2, 1066/1200 are technically just overclocked DDR2-800 modules.

Moral of the story, not a big deal especially for a DFI board. DFI offers all of the tweaks you would need to get around not having the 'proper' strap settings
