Diamond hd 3450

Hi i'm Ben and new to this site. I have a msi motherboard - p4m266, intel pentium4 2.8ghz, via chipset, 2 gb ram and a newly installed diamond hd 3450 graphic card hooked up to a samsung series 6 hdtv. I have a picture and sound through a hdmi cable but the screen keeps freezing and also when i update windows experience index as it asks because of new hardware installed it also freezes!! I am scratching my head on this!!! I have tried the picture on a monitor and also it freezes. what am i doing wrong??? someone please show me the errors of my way!!

Welcome to the forum!

I suggest you download the latest driver to give it a try. Your are using an AGP card right?

For agp:
http://support.amd.com/us/kbarticles/Pages/CatalystAGPHotfix.aspx

If it is not, then-

For pci-e:
http://support.amd.com/us/Pages/AMDSupportHub.aspx

and select your driver

how would i know which 1 it is?
i found that it freezes when opening media players or when i try to activate the aero theme or when i go on the catalyst on the 3d config it freezes too???
