Didn't Nvidia used to build there own cards?

Maybe I need some clarification. I thought Nvidia back in the day made there own cards and if so, why did they stop?

Without knowing the exact details, I would assume it's because of a reason similar to why Intel doesn't make computers. nVidia has probably decided to focus and specialize on the GPU

Just put them in different packages, and put different stickers on them. Cards come out of the same factory.

Go to tigerdirect and check the quadro cards, they are all designed by nvidia.

Although it would be nice if they could make their own videocards. That would make everybody buy from them instead of eVGA or XFX.

Very true, and in some cases they don't put different stickers on them but rather more stickers.

If I were a partner like evga or xfx I would rather not have to compete with my supplier.
