[SOLVED] Displayport 1.2 to 1.4 supports 144hz?

Hey!

I just got MSI RTX 2060 Super Ventus OC on my PC and noticed my old monitor only supports 144hz through DVI-DL and the 2060 only has HDMI and Displayport 1.4 slots.
I am planning to buy this monitor: ASUS VG278Q 27” 144hz 1ms monitor.
The monitor has DVI and Displayport 1.2 slots.

My question is does this monitor support 144hz with the Displayport and if it does, does 144hz work when the monitor is 1.2 and GPU is 1.4 displayports?
I tried to find an answer but no results and this forum has always been so nice to me!

Not sure if I understood those texts right but if I did the answer to my question is yes, the 144hz will work and I should use the cable HBR2 cable?

And theres no issue that my monitor has 1.2 port and GPU has 1.4?

minimum of DP 1.2 for 144hz on 1440p
