So after doing weeks of research and thinking i decided to ditch the fx 4100 for the i5-2500k for my new budget build. (if anyone would like to tell me other wise then please go ahead) i am on budget so i do have a few questions:

Motherboard: What one should i get? I dont plan on SLI or crossfire later on so no need to worry about that. nothing over $150. i was thinking this ASrock:http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813157297

GPU: I was wanting to get a gtx 550 ti if i went with the fx 4100, but i dont plan on doing any "intense" gaming i just didn't want to have a great cpu have a horrible gpu(bottle necking)

What GPU would you guys think i could get?? i am at a lost right now for GPU's. i would like one under $100 that would not bottle neck and can run minecraft,CoD 4,ect.

No intentions of playing BF3 for now i can always upgrade.

Thanks! :hello:

As for the video card, I actually recommend you stick with the GTX 550 Ti which you can get for $110 after rebate

However, if you must spend less than $100, then consider the GTS 450 for $90 after rebate.

Between the two, the GTX 550 Ti has a better price/performance ratio. See below chart for relative performance and read the review to make an informed choice.

I was hoping i could stay with the gtx 550 ti too i might just do that.

I agree. I wouldn't consider AsRock a top of the line motherboard company but I would consider them second tier. Still though for a second tier company they make pretty good quality boards.
