Question Does anyone here have a 14600K CPU paired with an RTX 4070 Ti ?

I can’t tell you the answer to those things specifically. I’ve got an i5 12600k and an amd rx 6800xt. So roughly components about a step down from the ones you are asking about. However I play at 1440p, and I can tell you my components work great for that.

What I’m really saying is a 14600k and 4070ti are absolute overkill for 1080p. If you are still on 1080p, pick up a high refresh rate 1440p screen, they’ve gotten a lot more reasonable and it would be a huge visual upgrade for you imo.

I do plan to move to 4K in the future, maybe after Arrowlake and RTX 50 series come out, that'll probably be my 4K upgrade. I like to record my gameplay alot in 1080p so I'm hoping the "overkill"ness of my build will help server as a buffer so I still have perfect performance even while recording and streaming. Thoughts?

I also like to screw around with rendering and AI alot

For 1080p you could go less on the gpu now. But otherwise these days buy as much as you can afford.

Pretty much your proposed setup is overkill for 1080p .

I would say you may take a look at the amd CPUs since you could get on the am5 platform and probably have a drop in cpu upgrade in a couple of years. This is if you don’t already have the Intel board/cpu.

As far as ai nvidia is in the lead I think. Depending what card you have now you might see what the new super cards will look like.
