They are backward compatible with CAT 5 so should work with no issues... But you are wasting some money there since you will not get any better speed from it. Why use CAT 7 10Gbit/s cables on a 1Gbit/s port?

Cat5e, with 22-24 gauge 100% copper wire is all that is requited for up to gigabit speeds. That should be the least expensive option.
Unless you are going to 10GE, Cat5e is all that is required.
