I am planning to upgrade to a new CPU. My current motherboard is ASUS ROG STRIX H270F GAMING. Can it support inteL i7 9700K?

Solution
No, your motherboard only supports the 6/7th gen CPU's. Ideally for that CPU you would want a Z390 or Z370 with updated BIOS (Z series since the CPU is unlocked). The other supported boards are the B365 (out of the box) or B360, H310 & H370 (with updated BIOS).

Even used, on Ebay, the prices are terrible, for a 7700k. I believe they are around the $300 mark, unless prices have finally started to come down. Could sell the current CPU, and motherboard, to get faster ram, if needed. Dumping that much money, into a dead platform, is simply a bad idea, when you can get something with an actual upgrade path, and still be quite good, for gaming.
