could someone tell me where i could down load a recovery disc for a toshiba l300d-13s .

This model of Toshiba has a program on it called Toshiba Recovery Disc Creator. Use that program to burn your recovery DVDs.

Should be in Start Menu>>All Programs>>Toshiba or Toshiba support/Maintenance.

If you are asking how to get recovery discs because you need to restore your computer you can use the recovery partition.

Shut down the laptop. Hold down the 0 (zero) key and press the laptop power button. Keep holding down the zero key until the TOSHIBA logo appears, where you should start tapping the zero key repeatedly. Stop if the unit beeps or when the TOSHIBA logo disappears. The screen should flash ** HDD RECOVERY MODE ** for a split second, then load the Toshiba recovery program right. This is a destructive recovery so it will return the laptop to the day you got it removing all new files and data.

If that does not boot into the recovery partition, restart the laptop, then press F8 during boot. You should then see a menu with safe mode options and a repair your computer option. Select "repair my computer". Once the repair mode is loaded, you should see a factory restore optin near the bottom of the menu that is displayed.

***This will erase all of your data***
