Dropping Connection Frequently Please Help!

Every few days my internet decides to lose connection every 5 minutes and it just happens throughout the entire day and I can't figure out how to fix it.

Also, even when I am connected to the internet and am having no problems I still get this if I "diagnose problems"


"Your computer computer seems to be correctly configured, but the device or resource (DNS server) is not responding."





Any help would be greatly appreciated, as I need the internet for work.

How many obstacles do you have between the wireless router and the computer? Per installation recommendations, try raising the router from its present location.

I'm almost certain that has nothing to do with it. It is happening to my Ipod and Ipad as well as my computer, and I have sat everywhere in the house with the Ipod and Ipad. It seems to not matter where I am.

If it happens with every device, then it is time to buy a new wireless router. Linkysys has some great models. I have their E1000 and am very satisfied with it's performance. Very easy installation.
