Question Dropping frames after switching from HDD to SSD(think it may be CPU, not sure) New to PC

So as you can tell from the title I'm suffering from some framerate loss and I have no idea what could be causing it. I'm fairly new to the PC side of things but here is my Specs list:

CPU: Intel core i7-4770 @ 3.50GHz
RAM: 12gb DDR3 (came with computer when i bought it)
SSD: 480gb Gigabyte SSD + 1.79TB hard drive which i don't use. (Set bios to boot up SSD on launch)
GPU: EVGA Geforce GTX 1060 6gb card.
OS: Windows 10 Home.
PSU:550w Seasonic Focus Gold

I upgraded the GPU/SSD myself, as well as the Power supply unit.

So basically I bought the PC a while back now and I know that my CPU is a bit outdated but it ran destiny 2 fine from the HDD, hardly dropped below 60 FPS. But now that I have changed over to the ssd i'm not too sure why it's dropping below 60 every now and then. The temps of the cpu reach 74 Degrees max when i run Destiny, but that shouldn't cause a throttle at that heat right? I keep an eye on CPU% whilst in the game and its sitting at like 50-80%. other than that i'm clueless as to what I should do. I am willing to purhcase a new cpu/mobo at the end of this month but I was just wondering if anyone would be able to enlighten me on what causes this issue. I'd love to learn more about PC's ect.

Thanks for taking the time to read this, greatly appreciate all the help I can recieve.

sorry well does the PC have an 8GB 2000mhz CORSAIR stick and a 4GB 1600Mhz stick GEAL because the speed of all the ram will be reduced to 1600Mhz if you use this tool it will tell you a lot about your system.

click the green button with free and local (us)
then just run a scan of your system then tell me what the memory readings are
Awesome I will give this a go once i get home later and i’ll put the memory readings in the thread, thank you for helping me with this issue, really appreciate it.

So it says the Total memory size is 12gb.
Maximum supported memory clock is 800mhz.

One 4gb Kingston ACR16D3LU1KFG/4G that is 800mhz.

Second one is 8gb SK Hynix HMT41GU6AFR8-PC also says that it’s 800mhz.

Is that what you needed to know?

Yeah that is great so its all working how its supposed to so what case have you got how many fans is there any room for some big cooling fans
I have the coolermaster mastercase h500p with two 200mm rgb fans at the front & a 140mm exhaust fan, my cpu fan is the standard one so i think that’s 120mm.

There is definitely room for some more fans, maybe a radiator too.

"I assume" that we should wait for clarification from the OP, as to exactly what he did.
That is correct yes. Once I had moved my OS on to my SSD I then formatted my HDD so it wiped everything off it. Also I bought the SSD brand new literally like a week ago so it’s not used.

The system bios I changed as well to boot up from the SSD instead of the HDD now too.
