i probably slept through the answer to this question... are AMD dual cores only supportted on PCI-E boards or will they run aok on AGP chipsets ???

Most 939 Boards will support them; Some require a BIOS update, AFAIK.

All s939 mobos SHOULD support them as long as they are advertised and/or with help of BIOS update. Make sure you read up on the selected mobo.

They'll run on the ULi M1695 with the AGP controller operating at full 8x speed...and the chipset also supports PCIe x16 at the same time!
