Hi i have the amd 3500 i was wondering if it would help my gaming like Counter Strike and quake4 to get the new Dual x2 3800 or just keep the 3500.. or maybe x2 4400... i need some computer people to help me...

The only reason to go with an X2 is if you plan to multi task or just want the redundancy of the 2nd core. Other than that the 3500+ is your best bet.

Keep the 3500+, no need to buy Dual Core for gaming. In fact, you don't need a CPU upgrade for gaming at this moment.
