Dvd rw vs cd rw

i am new at this.? can i burn dvd+rw discs on my toshiba satellite L305-S5924? i would like to download music videos and just music and burn to the dvd+rw discs. can my laptop do it?

If you have burning software yes. I personally would not use re-writable discs (rw), just the ordinary DVD+ or DVD- or CDR discs.There is almost no difference in price and I have found them to be more compatible and reliable
