My Dual-Core E5200 has just gone mad I recently overclocked it to 2.6Ghz with multiplier 12.5x208 it worked fine then I reset the values to default and rebooted the computer again. Now the trouble is that when I open CPU-Z or Everest CPU-ID the clock speed displayed is rapidly changing from 1200MHz (6x200) to 2499MHz (12.5x200). I cant figure out why and what to do, So I feel my self in a very big trouble if anyone can help i shall be very grateful............plz..............help

Yes, U r right I can see the voltage of the CPU change very quickly when it is 1.004 the multiplier goes to 6x and when the voltage is 1.4 the multiplier comes back to 12.5x..............if u want anymore info i will provide it.............

Go into your BIOS and check for Intel's speedstep option or anything that involves power saving. Although the flickering is uncommon most Intel processors have a built in power saver that drops the multiplier while it's idle. Run something like Orthos or Prime 95 and check it after that's been running for a few seconds. (Also stress test it for stability @stock to see if you need a replacement.)
