Lol, this just goes to show the people in suits at EA are idiots. Either that, or they're trying to sell them to people that don't know hardware specs. EA is a terrible company.

What a joke. by generation ahead do you mean running at sub 30fps and caking on the motion blur? or rendering in 480p and upscaling? The new consoles will be no different they will sacrifice anything for the graphics to appear good from the couch try playing an xbox game on a monitor upclose. What really gives me the shits is millions of console peasants will actually believe this tripe.

EA's crazy. My computer was several times as powerful as the PS3 and 360 back when I built it and I'm planning to upgrade to whatever Nvidia or AMD come out with this next generation. This will again put me several times as power as the PS4 or XBOX one as far as the video card . These new consoles are about as fast as my computer was back when I first got it non-overclocked, if that.

RANT ALERT!

I'm sure Microsoft and Sony have influenced him (paid him) to say these things to help generate more sells of their upcoming consoles. This is an obvious attempt at brainwashing the 'suckers' out there. Plus, all this talk about the PC being dead or dying the last year or so will sway (scare) some to skip the PC for one of the new consoles. I'm sure mobile devices have hurt PC sells, but Microsoft's sh*tty Windows 8 poured salt in the wound!

Microsoft releases an unfriendly OS for desktop users in Windows 8. Maybe it was their strategy to discourage a new PC build, so we'd hold out for the upcoming XBox. They'll make more money off of an XBox purchase than from Windows 8, itself. Think of all the money they'll generate from the sell of XBox games, accessories and subscriptions. So, you bet they'd prefer you buy an XBox. DUH!

To boost the life of the PC, we need to have much lower prices for the components to assemble our builds. We need pre-built PCs to cost less. We need an OS, (besides Windows), that is compatible with our hardware and that we can run games on. Something gaming studios should have backed years ago.

I say damn a console! Playing a FPS, like Battlefield, with a controller, is like a dog with no tongue trying to scratch his itchy ballsack! You can't do it! If I can't play on my PC, then to hell with gaming altogether! However, a PC is more than just gaming, there are way more things you can do on a PC and do them better than any over-hyped console can do!!!!! Honestly, I can see the life of the PC only getting stronger!

Thanks for letting my rant!:pt1cable:

By the way, Happy Memorial Day Weekend!

Sweet baby Jesus! Did you suffer a stroke when you hit the reply button?

Biggest douche in the universe award to... Rajat Taneja ! For being the worst liar this year! There is no way in hell he believe's what he said, so he must be lying through his teeth.

Just when you think EA can't do or say anything too much dumber than what they have. Sure, a console which maxes out at 1920 x 1080 is going to be a generation ahead of PC's which are running three plus monitors at the same resolution or better? Dream on dude, maybe you should take your old dusty Emachine out and buy a REAL PC that gets upgraded every month or so with new technology. Used to like EA games but what has happened to them?

"Sure.. " said the best company.
Also because of more and more Devs go on that route for "lets make a game for console and then somewhat port it PC" that's why you get these bottled necked games.
Which is what pretty much what EA's business based on for years.
I really hope that there are not so many dumb people that will take this as bread and water, as it's just a sucky marketing move by EA to saves their asses.

I doubt that either the PS4 or the XBox One could beat a 12 threaded 4.2Ghz Core i7 3970x, 64gb of DDR3 1866mhz, 3 x GTX Titan's and 2 x Samsung Pro 840 512GB SSD's in a Raid 1 stripe and output at 2560x1600@100hz and get a solid 100fps in any game maxed out. If they can I'll eat my socks
