Hi guys, i want to overclock my ram,and i was wondering can i just go to bios>ai tweaker>select docp and then enable docp 3000mhz? Can i enable the first docp profile(3000mhz) or i should enable second which is 2667mhz? Do i need to run any kind of memory test, and if yes, which one(free if possible).
PC:
cpu:ryzen 5 1600
mobo:b350f strix
gpu:rx 570 4gb strix
ram:hyperx predator 2x4gb 3000mhz(non rgb version)
By default it works on 2400mhz

Solution
Yeah try the first docp option.

See here for tips, advice and how-to's to test your ram with memtest.

Both, DOCP sets RAM according to XMP in RAM and second one sets actual frequency. If you set frequency higher than DOCP/XMP id would overclock further. That may work or not but depends on RAM quality. I set my DOCP to first stage XMP (3000) and frequency to 3600MHz and it works at lower Cl than XMP 3600 shows,
