[SOLVED] Enabling XMP profile

I do currently have my new setup:
Cpu: i3 10100f
Mobo: Gigabyte B460m Aorus pro
RAM: 2x8 3200MHZ PNY XLR8
GPU: HIS RX 580

My rig currently has 2133MHZ on RAM and I look into bios that if i turn on XMP, it will run at 3200MHZ but my cpu only supports 2666MHZ, will enabling XMP for 3200MHZ just go to 2666MHZ co'z that's only my cpu can support? Sorry for my bad english. TIA!

From my experience..
To run RAM at 2666MHz, you need to have RAM 2666MHz. That is, if you use 3200 or 3600MHz RAM, BIOS won't just use max what your CPU supports -it will switch to default RAM speed -what speed that is, depends on RAM.
When you buy RAM and look at specs, you can usually see two speeds: one is (advertised) XMP speed and the other is JEDEC (base) speed.
Crucial Ballistix 3200 2x16GB (for example) has: XMP=3200MHz and JEDEC= 2666MHz (in Dual Chanel mode) -if for whatever reason motherboard refuses to accept XMP profile, this RAM will run at 2666MHz.
If you use another RAM brand/model, you might get XMP=3200MHz, but base frequency will only be 2400MHz, or less.

However, if your motherboards supports manually setting RAM...

So if I enable it, as for what it says '3200MHz', it will only run at 2666MHz or it will bootloop at the start? Or should i just pick the multiplier to 2666 and the rest of the config in auto?

Ohh okay, that made sense. So how can I run it at 2666MHz? Do I need to change such things like timings? Or just leave it in Auto then change multiplier to 2666MHz? TIA again.
