OK, I'll try to uninstall and reinstall it....However, If I'm not mistaken it has informed me that I could not uninstall it.

No haven't tried to download the file....will try it before I try to reinstall IE 8.

OK, I did a little bit of research on the ERROR message I was getting on downloading a GUI software. This ERROR message was popping up in a box that read GETPLUS (R) evidently this is a "Bloat" program from ABODE.
I have attatched a portion of the forum discussed:

"Now, MarkCollingwood: I'll give you an answer RIGHT NOW: GETPLUS is a piece of BLOAT that Adobe adds to their products that is also "GNDN" - In Other Words, it is NOT Necessary.

It allows Acrobat and Acrobat Reader and other Adobe Bloatware to automatically download installation packages that we OUGHT to be able to download straight to our desktops instead of going through GETPLUS.

GetPlus = DELETE IT.

To totally get rid of it, open a COMMAND window in c:\Windows and CD up to "\Downloaded Program Files"

Do a DIR and find the file GP.INF - Open it and find LOCATION of GP.OCX.

Then DELETE GP.INF and find GP.OCX in the c:\Windows\System area of files and delete THAT as well.

When you are done open REGEDIT and locate any references to GP.INF or GP.OCX and delete THOSE as well.

Finally, I would ask Adobe to, rather than add BLOAT to their programs (which we are forced to use) - GIVE US a direct link TO THE INSTALLER FILE, and let us choose when how and where we WISH to install our Abobe BLOAT products.

OK, Just call me stupid...but can someone break-down the instructions on how to delet the files he mentiond above a little bit simpler for me. I am running Windows XP Pro.

OK, I found out a little bit more on this GUI. if you can read the post I added above this one and help me out on it, it would be great!
