Are they up to date? Is your MAME "compatible" to the version of the roms
there?

Get CLRMAMEPRO. It will scan your roms and rebuild/rename them. I didn't
know what it did until I couldn't find my version of MAME any longer (v .71)
and had to upgrade. I began getting this error when I knew I had a full
set. I ran CLRMAMEPRO and basically let it do its thing. MAKE SURE YOU
HAVE A BACKUP OF YOUR ROMS! Nobody is responsible for any losses but you.
I had a backup so I let CLRMAMEPRO do its thing, basically just took the
defaults (I have no idea what else CLRMAMEPRO does, or how to use it). It
fixed my romset.
