I have an Extigy that I use with my BenQ P4 2.4 Ghz laptop. Sound delivery is great but I seem to be having a problem which might be isolated to me only. Overall I find the card good, however, it has a slight compatibility issues with the onboard Realtek AC'97 sound card. So I have to disable the onboard card before I start up the extigy. Also while I play meda files or (I dont disturb it)on the laptop through the extigy, if I use any other windows applications the remote and base unit get inactive...the frequent signal loss between the remote (RM-1000) and the base unit. The remote and base unit get inactive whereas the soft desktop remote functions well without even cutting out the media currently playing. I have to physically cycle the power off/on from the base unit and then things work for sometime before I'm faced with this recurring problem. Could it be because the Extigy is USB 1.1 and the laptop has USB 2.0? Just a question....Has anyone faced this peculiar activity? Has anyone fixed this frustrating issue? Cause I am totally frustrated with it and dont know who to ask for help.

Sorry can't help you out, but just wanted to say that USB2.0 is backwards compatible with 1.1 so that can't be the problem.

Thanks for your reply, I think I found the fix but would need to get to know the registry. I set the process priority after start for the OSDmenu, RCman and Rcentre to realtime and put the other apps that I dont use often to below normal and that seemed to do the trick, Now I have to find the registry key where I can set the permanent priority of processes.
