Fan on the Northbridge???

Someone recommended that i put my old HSF on my northbridge. He also said i would need 'Special Glue'. Where can i find this at?

When he says "special glue," he's probably talking about thermal epoxy or thermal adhesive--something that will not only conduct heat but will bond like superglue.

If you want the best, check out <A HREF="http://www.arcticsilver.com/" target="_new">Arctic Silver</A>. There are other brands besides Arctic Silver; I think <A HREF="http://www.3dcool/" target="_new">3DCool</A> has carried some brand of thermal epoxy in the past.

cooling your northbridge isnt the worst of ideas... not really worth it but it wont do any harm... thermal paste is what you should use to attach the hear sink though it might not be able to hold it on... maybe if you can find a thermally good conducting epoxy you will have a slightly more stabe system...

im not saying it wouldnt be useflu... im just saying its not likely to give a performance increase or a signifcant stability increase as fsb overclocks tend to crash boxes not as the northbridge overheats but as the pcis/agps tend to go goo goo... etc...
