Question Faulty laptop replacement screen?

Hello,

I recently replaced my Lenovo 3305 laptop screen. However, when I turn back on there’s no display, just lots of white lines horizontally.

I plugged my old screen back in and it works (the old screen is cracked but still semi functional).

Am I doing something wrong or does this seem like a faulty replacement screen?

Can't say if you are doing something wrong since we can't see how you are connecting it, but the fact that you were able to reconnect the old screen properly shows you are connecting it the right way. Did you contact support for the screen you bought? Was it specified for your exact model laptop? There can be a base model of a laptop with various options and not all screens will work on all of those models.

The new screen is either defective, or incompatible. Ask the seller for assistance.
