Faulty PSU and CPU Overheat

Hi,

Can a faulty PSU make CPU overheat?

Yesterday when I checked, the CPU temperature was way too high than normal standards. My CPU was Phenom II 840 and usually it won't cross 45 degree Celsius. But yesterday it went over 65 Degree and th PC crashed every now and then. Please share your thoughts

No...its a cooler master product. A big one...so i don't think thats the case.
