What does /dat: preceding a filename mean. For example: /dat:C:\Program
Files...

I don't know. For instance this will start Norton Antivirus:
"C:\Program Files\Common Files\Symantec Shared\NMain.exe" /dat:C:\Program Files\Norton AntiVirus\navui.nsi
/nosysworks.exe.lnk\NMain.exe.lnk"

Oops! There was more preceding /dat. It was just a parameter to Norton
Utilities.

Presuming, in the absence of any other information, that you're seeing this
in a "Target" fill-in, then it's a command-line switch that is telling
whatever program is to be run that "C:\program files" is the setting for
"/dat" where "dat" means something to
whatever-the-program-is-but-you-need-to-keep-that-a-secret - probably a DATa
(source or destination) directory/folder setting.

Read (and meant) as Scary, as for the added 's', an appropriately added
letter to describe the person behind the post. Ever seen a picture of this
person on the internet, see for yourself.
