Have a weird issue that I've been experiencing since I got my latest PC in 2019 from cyberpower where "somewhat randomly" my monitor will flash black for 3-5 seconds as if I turned it off, and then it comes back on. I have almost the same PC with some very slight differences, and a different monitor, and this issue does not happen on that other PC.
This happens occasionally while using Google Chrome, and happens very often when I'm using adobe products like illustrator, photoshop, premiere (a lot, especially with 2K and 4k video), but not in less-demanding programs like iTunes, email, etc. I don't play many games, but it does not seem to happen while playing Cities Skylines with graphics settings turned all the way up. I am lead to believe its some sort of power issue, but can't narrow it down any further. Please help! AOC said they would replace the monitor after I ship this one back, but A. I can't be without my PC because I use it for work and don't have another monitor to use, and B. I really don't think it's a bad monitor, I for some reason feel like this is an issue I can fix myself.
The screen does NOT flash off/on while running benchmark tests. The tests complete just fine.
I have tried (still with same issue):
-Changing Display Port Cable (Input primarily used)
-Changing HDMI cable
-Changing power cables (for monitor and for PC)
-Swapped graphics card from other PC
-Swapped graphics card with brand new one under warranty
-Plug monitor into separate power outlet
-Use a different PC with similar build on same monitor (no flashing)
-Use same PC with different monitor (no flashing)
-Turned off/on G-Sync and other settings
-Turned off whatever the 3D setting is called in monitor settings
-Turned off auto input select just in case (no other inputs are being used anyway)
-Turned off accelerated graphics in chrome as well as Adobe, same issue remains
-Updated/reinstalled/removed all drivers/refreshed/looked for errors, no errors are prsenet
-Tried both Nvidia Game ready drivers and Nvidia Studio Ready drivers
This problem only occurs when this monitor is connected specifically to this PC. If I use a different monitor, or same monitor different PC, the issue goes away.
The monitor does NOT have this issue if I am using it as a secondary monitor for a laptop via HDMI or other inputs, another reason I believe this is a power issue when being used on the gaming PC
If I have it plugged into the wall (Not running off my computer's PSU), then could I still run into power issues?
My setup:
CD: ASUS 24X Internal Multi DVD writer (barely use)
CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 2700X 3.7 GHz (4.3GHz turbo) Eight Core 20MB Cache 105W
Fans: CoolerMaster MasterLiquid ML120 RGB 120mm dual chamber liquid cooler, as well as a case fan
HDD: 250 GB WD Blue Series M.2 Sata-III 6 Gb/s SSD
HDD2: 1TB Sata-III 6.0 Gb/s 32MB Cache 7200 RPM HDD
Memory: 16GB (8GBx2) DDR4 3000MHz Dual Channel
Monitor: 32" AOC C32G1 Curved FHD 1080P 1ms, 144Hz, FreeSync, Dp/HDMI/VGA monitor
Motherboard: MSI X470 Gaming Plus AM4 ATX w/ RBG, USB 3.1, Gbt LAN, 3PCIe x16, 3PCIe x1, 6SATA2, 2 M.2 SATA/PCIe

No overclocking
